Patriots

Bob entered Keera in the pass, punt, kick tournament. There is a new age group this year-6/7 year olds.  Keera is only 5, but her birthday falls in the qualifying age limit.  She won the town, region and state (because she was the only girl to compete at her age level-but no one has to know that part....) Yesterday we headed up to Gillette Stadium.  All of the age groups girls and boys were there to participate.  Keera was the youngest in history for Patriot PPK.  I realized on the way up that the paperwork said the parents were not allowed to go on the field with the contestants.  Bob told me that he already spoke to the man in charge about Keera being 5 and being out there without an adult.

When we walked up to register, the woman said, "Oh you must be the five year old, Keera."  I knew she was in good hands.  We were allowed on the warning track.  Katie, Bob and I intently watched on the sideline as our little Keera was passing, kicking and punting on the Patriot's field...the field that huge football players would be playing on within a matter of hours.

Once the competition started, Keera was first in her line and in between turns, she quickly made friends with the girl behind her.  She came in third....second place beat her by 2 feet and first place was two years older than her.

She still received a football and we all ate at Five Guys and Fries.  We had tickets to the game, but we gave them away because the girls wanted to go home and trick-or-treat....they have their priorities in the right place.

I have to say.....it was a really fun day!!!
