The Lost Bra

Katie and I were great traveling mates for the most part.  However, I discovered that in the morning, she has to try on outfits numerous times and do all the teenage stuff to get ready.  Often times it does not coincide with being ready on time for tours.

After our first hotel stay (we went to 5 different hotels in 10 days), we discovered that she had left her bra at the previous hotel.  It was not an easy discovery...it went something like...she was panicking because we had to get to breakfast and we went through all of her stuff many times...I was slightly scolding about why she hadn't dressed earlier, etc. etc.  At any rate, she ended up borrowing my bra for the rest of the trip.

A few days after we got back, we had to run to Kohls to pick up some dress clothes for her (for the next day...planning isn't on the high list of teenage priorities...nor is parent notification of needs) because the softball team was dressing up for game day  (as it turns out, they ended up wearing their jerseys).  While we were there, she asked if I could replace the bra she lost in Spain.  We did.

Two days later, as I was getting ready to chaperone the prom, I seemed to have misplaced my black, strapless bra.  I asked Katie if she had borrowed it and she said months ago but I never asked for it.  I asked if I could have it now and her reply was, "that might be kind of difficult because that is the one I lost in Spain."

So, let's review for a moment.....Katie leaves black strapless bra (mom's in fact, unknown to mom) in hotel in Spain; Mom gives Katie a bra to borrow; Mom buys Katie a replacement bra and then discovers, she had actually bought her own replacement bra, only mom ends up with nothing.  Does that sound like a typical kid move or what?
