We're back

I am trying to shake things up for myself at work this year...reading a book about Lincoln and how his leadership style relates to school leadership.  I love some of the ideas in the book.  I am trying to apply them to what I am doing.  I am also trying to say, every day, "Jesus, let me live today as if it is my only day and try to enjoy every moment I am living. Take all of my worries and future thoughts and hold them for the day for me."  I tried it yesterday and it really seemed to work.

I read a great Guidepost email about handing all of your worries over to Jesus and the author specifically talked about how we worry about our kids, our spouse, etc.  I could so relate to that.  I worry so much about how their life is going to be and it was a relief to think that they are not really mine...they belong to God and he will watch over them as best he can.

So this is a bit disjointed for the me who is going to read it a few years from now, but just thoughts of where I am at right now.
