Blueberries for Sal
About a week ago I received a package in the mail....that in itself was exciting. It was a book from an aunt who had read my blueberry blog and bought the book Blueberries for Sal for me to read to Keera. Keera and I have read it a few times since then. It's a really cute story about a little girl and her mom picking blueberries at the same time as a mama bear and her little cub and how they end up intersecting paths.
Keera came home from school yesterday and announced that in school that day they had read the book that we had, Blueberries for Sal.
Of course to most people this would just be the facts of what happened...but I started thinking....had I not blogged about blueberry picking, my aunt would not have sent the book, Keera and I would not have read the book, Keera would not have recognized the story in school, Keera would not have shared with her teachers that she had the book at home and Keera would not have been able to share with me what happened....it's all about connections....connections for learning...connections for people.
I thought, we can just go about living our daily lives or we can reach out for people and really Live Life.
(If you think this is heavy....try living with me....not easy!)

Ahhh... the meaning of life... I love discussions like this... There is a famous quote - "An unexamined life is not worth living." I think it is wonderful that you are REALLY paying attention. Life is such a rich tapestry, and what a shame that many people don't take the time to contemplate it. Our lives are so much richer for taking the time to think about the connections between us all. Bravo, Neen!
