Only one waffle

Brendan decided to eat waffles at 10:00 pm last night.  Keera (who stays up as late as her older brothers and sister-and gets up earlier) decided she would have 3 waffles.  I told her one would be fine (knowing I would end up throwing at least one out or maybe even 2, if I cooked all 3.)

The arguing commenced.  She was determined to get 3 waffles; I was determiend to cook one.  Then, instead of throwing a huge tantrum (we've been moving away from those lately, headstrong, little one) she stomped her foot, began walking up the stairs...stopped halfway up and announced, "Well, if this family is going to hate me then leave a message at the beep....beeeeeep."

We all start laughing.  She retreated to my bed with the covers over her head.  I brought her the one waffle and thought she would be upset because we laughed at how cute she sounded....but found her with a smile on her face.  I told her that was a good way of handling it, instead of throwing a tantrum, she said what she had to and went for her own little time out...and she was funny too.

Leaps and bounds.....we'll get there.
